I had an awful experience with SIGNTONIX. They sent out the saleperson, who i admit that he is good with talking.

I signed contract to make a sign for $ 15000. The saleperson said that he will take care of the shipping, installation by contact them for us. And will let us know before shipping. Because we dont have a space to put it anywhere.

We need to have a installer when the big sign arrive. But one day, shipping company just came and delivered us a huge sign without telling us. We didt take the sign coz there was no place for it. We called that salesperson.

He said " my job is done, I have nothing to do with anymore" Then we asked him for the dimension and size of the sign to talk to installer. He said he doesn't have it. Also, company doest have it. He told us to use the measuring tape and measure it by ourselves!!!!

How the heck we can do it!!!! He doesn't want to deal anything and he did not do anything he said he would.

Be careful with this Salesperson and even the company. I think they are a *** !!

and just fool people to make them money....

Monetary Loss: $15000.

Location: San Francisco, California

I purchased a sign from signtronix about 2 months ago. The sales person was very "pushy" but being in sales I knew what he was doing...

these salespeople are trained like used car salesmen and obviously taught that closing the sale 40 times in the conversation is the only way to make the sale...

anyways my sign looks very nice and I didn't finance it so I guess I missed out on a lot of the headache most here seem to be complaining about. Haven't had any warranty issues yet but other than the half wit salesman the sign was a good buy since none of the local sign companies offered anything as nice at the same price.

These postings are not from customers. They are from people who work at the company. Business owners that are happy with their product don't bother posting on watch dog sites, get real guys.

I totally agree. I have one of their sales people in my store right this very minute!

The guy will not leave and keeps showing me different features. Trying to sell me a sign for 8000 that there are several of on ebay for 1700. Person is very rude. Seems desperate.

I am no fool, I have worked in sales for many years. Anyone posting on this site in favor of this company clearly works for signtronix. I mean, come on, Bob,Jim, and Jeff, you guys were just aware of these statistics you're posting because you're a big fan of the company?

Get outta here. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM

People post *** about other companies on web pages like this not only because they had a bad experience with a company but also if they are a person who is mad at the company because they were fired or they are a small sign company that simply can't compare to the price and quality of the signs produced by signtronix. If you do your true research like Jim stated the other day, and not half *** it like most of these girls complaining on this page.

Then you will find that he is right. Signtronix over the last 36 months has had 99.999% of it customers not file a complant on them with the BBB. Which I might add is the only reliable source for a complaint. I bought a sign from them and it increased my traffic by at least 55%.

I have had the sign for 5 years and the one problem I had I called my salesman about and it was fixed within 4 days.

It was the best investment I could have ever made in my company. Thank you signtronix.

I did research on Signtronix and found out they had 55 complaints in the last 3 years with the BBB. Now to an uneducated person that would seem bad.

But if you crunch the numbers and see that they sold a little over 210,000 signs over the last three years you can easily figure out that only 0.00026% of there customers end up pissed off. For those of you that are pissed off or say you researched the company and decided not to do business with them I will write it in crayon for you, because you either are not going to last in your business that long because of your lack of understanding of fifth grade math, or you are a little retarded. That is 0.026 % of 0.01%. For those of you who are still a little lost that is a great track record.

And for those of you that don't understand the word scam.

You may be better off investing in a dictionary or at least graduate up to the sixth grade. I will be doing business with this company.

I'm so glad I refused to give in to this company's demands. They wanted about $9,500 for a sign.

I said to give me a business card so I could Google them and whatnot. The guy refused. Then, I said I'd need a week to think about the whole thing. Again, refused, and needed an answer ON THE SPOT.

I told him that I'd pass on the deal and suddenly he got hostile. Started telling me that my business would fail and I was no good for nothing.

At that point I threatened to call the police. Very strange.

Signtronix sales people are not signmen they only know how to sell, they are not trained in anything else. Your down payment was his commision he cashed the check and pocketed it.

those people hire everyone who walks in. You are much better off dealing with a local custom sign shop

What does a ten year warranty have to do with anything? Nothing (by the way, when Signtronix sells the same sign to a church, which is a sad thought, that church gets a lifetime warranty. Don't you feel fooled now with your petty 10yr warranty?)

Warranties and company age has nothing to do with a sign that is a foot too big as pointed out by Bill, or the fact that these sales people vanish when a problem arises

There is always the excuse of unethical sales people misrepresenting the company but "Jeff", seeing you are an "independent business owner" (nice addition of the catch phrase lovingly used by Signtronix there) and you understand that this indeed happens, would you side with this unethical sales person even after something happens, as Signtronix will? (that was rhetorical seeing you are probably just some insider fire control person regardless)

Besides, why would anyone that is happy with a company be doing searches for complaints on a company? I find it hard to believe that anybody would come to a complaint site at all unless they were not happy, or they are doing research before buying something.

Think about this people. Any person claiming to be a business owner and talking about how much they like Signtronix will always play it out like a commercial. Stating the warranty. Stating the age of the company. Stating how many signs have been produced. Statements like that seem too rehearsed and you will start to notice the scripted similarities even though there will always be attempts at adding flavor to make it feel real (which usually fails)

Too bad the internet has not been around as long as Signtronix (formerly Gulf Industries). I am guessing that would have been very interesting

After 50 years, 2 million signs made, and the 10 year guarantee it is hard for me to understand complaints against the company. Bottom line is you will get unethical sales people that go out and misrepresent the company.

I am an independent business owner that understands this and when I need a sign I will be contacting Signtronix. You don't stay in business that long treating people badly.

I just delt with a sales woman. No sale here!!

I did a little research and to all that are reading this, DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! it is obvious this company, Signtronix, Northern leasing, and the sales people are all makin a killing taking your money. Most companies have happy customers with a few unhappy hard to please people. These guys are the opposite.

it is all over the net (dont take my word for it look for your self). Are you gonna believe some salesmen or all these complaints? that are coming from all THEIR customers? Also wise up to the few posts claiming to be happy customers.

I am going to do my best to expose them locally to all i can.

hopefully word will spred across america and theY will be seen for what they are... RIP OFFS!!!

I have been doing bus. With Signtronix for over 15 years and have purchased 9 signs for my 6 stores.

I have never had a bit of trouble, there 10 years guarenty on there signs

faces are fantastic! I had 2 singns broken by vandels and were replaced for free! No questions asked, all I had to do was send a picture.

The salesmen that sold me my signs sends me a Xmas card every year.

This guy has been with the 50 year old co. For ver 15 years and is honest as the day is long. I think if you take a look at any company that has been around for a long time I'm sure there will be negitive remarks about.

i ran into all they wanted was a cashiers ck ,i finally convinced the shipping co to take cash for the shipping and sign , now the salesperson assured me that the sign will fit but i get it open from the box and its over a foot too big now i'm stuck with a useless sign

This guy doesn't sound so bright... I'm sure it didn't happen like that
