Signtronix - Don't Buy Their Signs

Save yourself a lot of money and buy a sign from a local vendor that you can build a relationship with. Signtronix sign works okay but you could certainly find a similar sign anywhere else. The Signtronix signs are overpriced and the Signtronix reps pressure you into signing a lease with Northern Leasing to close the deal. The lease is the worst part of the transaction - Northern Leasing has a rapidly growing reputation as a very fraudulent company and that bad reputation is deserved. Signtronix sales reps are party to committing fraud on behalf of Northern Leasing by promoting these fraudulent lease agreements. Northern Leasing forges customer signatures on undisclosed pages of lease agreements, provides no customer service (except to harass customers) and files against customers in New York without notifying the signing party. Look up more complaints on Northern Leasing to find out more.

I have nothing but great things to say about this Company.. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.. I believe that direct sales and thats what they do are importain, because if we did not have deadlines ... would we ever get anything done? we as business owners make quick decisions each and every day, but when we cant afford something or it's just bad timming, i guess we gotta blame someone....... IF Business owners are in business to make money then we gotta statrt listening to a company that has a AA BBB rating... you see i did my homework too!!! Stay well. Tom Tom & Elli

Signtronix

I have an appointment tomorrow with a rep from Signtronix, to find out about integrating their LED systems, (for several locations) across a T1. I build hardware and software integrated systems for small and medium customers. I came out here to find out if there were some legitimate concerns about product issues or problems with this company. But, what I have found is: 1. People posting that have never conducted business with Signtronix-so I consider them as fabricators (no actual facts) or people who pass on fabrications (lies). You better be careful of defamation and slander and liberal, because if you cause damage without facts, you can lose big time in court. 2. People who violated contracts with Signtronix and wanted their non-refundable deposits back. I guess they have never bought equipment for their businesses or houses or cars before signing that contract. It's a normal in the business world. My contracts have the same thing because I immediately start ordering materials and working to fulfill the contracts when they sign. I am definitely getting paid for my time and effort, if a customer cancels. 3. People who have obviously stolen copyrighted material, when they had obviously no contract rights. I guess that's enough said about them. 4. People who violated and broke contracts and are upset it was ironclad. I pay an attorney to write my contract and he's expensive. When my contracts are written, they better be ironclad, because I'm putting my time, effort and income on the line to fulfill those contracts and if some customer breaks them; we are going to court, because they just caused me a big loss. What I didn't find: Actual customers, who fulfilled their contracts and were not happy with the company or the product's performance. These comments tell me this website is not for pissed customers and I find no valid issues with Signtronix to not conduct business with them. A real business owner (who understands the real business world) would never take these comments seriously and I guess that's why I don't find their comments here. I would tell the other people that wrote comments: you need to get an understanding of the business world, before you think about opening a business. Your comments show a real lack of business sense. In your case I would advise you find an experienced business advisor or take some business classes and learn something about business management. Your novice approach to business and lack of business expertise will put you out of business. So get some education or go get a job! I liked the comment someone said: there are business owners and people who are in business. I'm a real business owner and have advisors all around me and I do research, but I am not afraid of making an on the spot decision. I do that daily; as I am too busy to not make on the spot decisions. The business world is fast paced and hustles! You will lose and will be left behind if you don't understand that concept. (There's your first business lesson!) You might wonder why I took my time to write a response to the comments I have seen here! Well, here it is: as a business owner I have had customers who have welched on contracts, cost my business income and time, have tried to hurt my business without valid reasons and not giving my company a real opportunity to resolve those issues. I am not a pissed off customer, but a pissed off business owner who is speaking up for a company I now choose to conduct business. Bravo to any company that has the stamina, foresight and ability to stay in business for the length of time that Signtronix has been in business and taken its punches from places (like this website), by people who without real knowledge and understanding have broke contracts and stolen copyrights and who would like to bring it down and yet it continues to weather the storm of the real business world in order to continue to succeed. My hat is off to you!

You can always tell when someone associated with Signtronix writes an article such as this.

First, the person always belittles a business owner that has issues with Signtronix by saying that the person must not know a thing about business, etc, which KLIP's 'review' is full of.

Second, and especially with this long 'defense' by KLIP, why would any person that is happy with something or just doing research on a company, automatically stick up for a company it has yet to deal with? Especially with the length and detail in this one. No normal person spends this much time writing up a defense just because they can.

KLIP is just another being out to put out the fires that are in the wake of Signtronix salesmen, plain and simple.

"A real business owner who understands the real business world" would never do business with Signtronix.

Good for you, if you have had positive results with this company. I ignored warnings from this very web site.

Thinking just like you. Worst mistake to make. Now our Church have to try to raise money to replace this new sign.

sounds like a response written from a signtronix rep...why would this company have so many negative issues???

Signtronix is a bunch of scam artist

Hello. I bought a sign from a ST rep...very nice guy...polite...polished...honest...but once the rep walked out the door here is where the problems started...WITH THE COMPANY...the agreement i signed had some questions unanswered...I tried to get things fixed but nothing ever happened with my agreement and then lease payments were on their way...I got all sorts of no answers...i even wanted my deposit back but no avail...I am screwed...I did some looking on line and found all the hundreds of scam reports written on this company...Darn...I should have done my work before I signed the paperwork because this company is a bunch of white collar crooks...If you want to work for Signtronix, buy from signtronix, see a rep from signtronix...RUN!!!!!

Sign they sold us was not readable.

We are a Church with limited funds. The sign Signtronix sold us can not be read from any reasonable distance.

You can not take them to court outside of CA. They did nothing to fit the problem. Quote to fix is $1,800,00. I read the bad reviews and ignored them.

What a mistake. Stay far, far away from this company. Chris Deborn and David Howard is not trustworthy. These individuals did not know what they were doing when they design our sign.

The Church name is 3" in height. The Marquee is 6" in height ( should have been 4" ) too large to put messages.

I was there and his woman and out pastor made them make the sign that way. We wanted more room for a message.

So you two stop blaming them.

We all agreed on the look of the sign. You are also not in Rockford your in east moline.

Sign received was not what was chosen. I am, the Pastor.

And the sign received was not the one chosen. All our information on the old sign was to fix on the new one.IF you was there, then you know, i am telling the truth. Stop with the lies!

Our attorney knew we had a case just from the pictures i showed him. The only reason we did not sue the salesman that signed the contract was the time and exspense, not knowing his finance.

Who design the sign? Who said is would work?

Who said 6" on the message board was not too big? If the design was not to scale, why were we not told? Who told the salesman not to return our call and answer our e-mails? I even had another 12" add to the sign before the signing of contract.

And we still get a 3" tall Lettering for the name of the Church. Come on. And you say we ask for that?

Do you really think people are that ***? Give your customers our number if sign is so good.

Almost fell for it.

I had a salesman come in and give us the sales pitch. Since we're in the market for a sign, we decided to hear him out. It all looked good on paper. Alarm bell #1, he wanted to put a thumb drive into my computer. Yeah, like that will ever happen. Alarm bell #2, the leasing numbers, added up to over $8,000 for an 8'x3' sign. In my mind that is just too much money. Alarm bell #3. He wanted to run a credit check on me. He wanted my SSN and bank info. So I went and looked up Signtronix. Good thing I did. Being a new business funds are kind of tight. After wasting 4+ hours of my time, I was pretty pissed off. After the salesman left, I showed my partner why I decided against the deal. He looked at me and said "good thing you're in charge of the money, otherwise I'd of signed on the dotted line."

It's really very slpime. There are 2 categories of workouts and you only need to focus on one of those for weight loss. They are:1.

Resistance training weight lifting, sit-ups, push-ups, etc.2. Cardiovascular Training – brisk walking/running, swimming, biking, jumping jacks, jumping rope, dancing to the oldies, etc.You need only to focus on #2 for weight loss. #1 is good for muscle tone but does little for weight loss.Cardiovascular exercises are slpime and you don't need any fancy equipment. For successful weight loss, all you need to do is any body movements that get your heart rate higher than normal.

That's what cardiovascular workouts are all about. They simply get your heart rate up and burn off fat.You will need to keep your heart rate up for longer than 20 minutes per session in order to achieve a successful burn. The body takes that much time to warm up and begin the burn. Any huffy-puffy activity will work such as walking, running, going up and down stairs, vigorous dancing, jumping rope, just anything that makes you huff and puff.

That's the key huff and puff for over 20 minutes a session. This is how your body burns off fat.CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR FOR ADVICE ON THE SAFEST WORKOUT FOR YOU.Don't get discouraged!Contrary to popular TV, there is no such thing as targeting an area of your body for weight loss. The reality is that you will see the fattest part of your body lose weight last! You will notice it first in your face.

The thickest fat is the last to go so don't lose heart if you don't see your “targeted area” going anywhere at first.Simply create a huffy-puffy workout for yourself that lasts over 20 minutes per session and stick to a daily routine for best results.Another tip is don't rely on what the scales say everyday. That will discourage you. The better way to monitor your progress is to observe your clothes getting looser. The scales can be misleading because as you lose weight, typically you are also building muscle mass.

This dual change may look like you are not losing fat when you actually are.Checking your heart rate. Take your fingers of your left hand and place them about an inch to the right of the center of your right hand wrist as it faces palm up. This should be at your right-hand wrist below your thumb. You should feel a pulse there.

Now count the number of beats in a 6 second period. Multiply that number by 10 and that's your heart rate. A reasonably safe and effective heart rate during an exercise burn is about 120 for most people 30–50 years old.A bland diet will speed the weight loss up for sure. But if you're like me, starting a daily exercise program plus starting a bland diet is just too emotionally stressful (wink, wink).

So, I say, for those of us who want some type of reward for working out everyday, continue enjoying your favorite foods just cut your portions down. Train yourself to learn when you are satisfied as you eat a meal and stop eating at that point rather than eating until you feel full. You'll be surprised at how early in the meal you are satisfied. So, just stop eating at that point.

Make a habit of it.I am a 52 year old male and I am using a programmed treadmill which uses a combination walk/ 5 mph. run workout for 30 minutes a day. I am losing 2-3 pounds a week just doing that and cutting my favorite food portions back the way I mentioned before. My peak heart rate during this routine is 140.

(Just telling you this in hopes that it will give you some idea of what 30 minutes a day will do for you so you can adjust your workout to suit your targeted weight loss time frame.)Good luck! I hope this helps.

My sign was fine, it is the company they use to 'finance' that is the issue. Northern Leasing is a nightmare company, buy a sign?

go for it, but pay it in full on a credit card, cash or walk away. You do NOT want to give Northern Leasing or any of it's affiliates access to your account

As for all of you who feel great posting stuff about Signtronix and saying that you are warning fellow small business owners about us, YOU ARE COMPLETELY WRONG!!!

As for those of you who say you started Signtronix and then didn't like the way we did things, you are not following the clauses set forth in the paperwork you signed in class.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Signtronix is a great company and the Location Coordinators are not sales people at all. We arrange with owners to have their business as marketing partners in a nice program and by becoming a marketing partner we eat most of the cost of your sign.

Take a sign like ours to some dinky sign custon sign shop and first of all realize that they are going to tell you that they cannot make a product like that!!!

Second off, see if they give you a great price like we do and THEN see if they will finance that sign for you with little money down and small payments...

BET IT DOESN'T HAPPEN!!!

So whine all you want but have fun with it because Signtronix is AMERICA'S SIGN COMPANY!!!

Guest

There are 2 differnet types of people. People in business, and business people.

If you were a smart business person, then you'd realize signtronix has done more for the small business owner than the small business administration. Look it up! If you wanna go local, that;s your money. But you get no guarantee on the product, a *** graphic, and a horrible product for the money you spend.

I'd rather have the sure thing. This company has made over a million signs, so they are pretty good at what they do, and its not screwing anyone over. go to www.signtronix.com and see their products.

Also, if you refer a business, they pay you 200 dollars per contract. I've paid my sign every month with that program alone.Who's the genius now????

Guest

One more thing. The reason they are still in business is that as a small business, there really are no rights to protect the business owner from shady dealings with a door to door to salesman.

It is not a consumer transaction.

So if a business owner has a problem or gets the wool pulled over his or her eyes, there is no remedy for it other than to take it as a learning experience and move on. That is how Signtronix stays in business.

Guest

To Larry's remark- that is what Signtronix does. Any time someone calls them out, they resort to bashing the person(s) personally, using name-calling and telling people to learn math or buy a dictionary Or my favorite, they bust on their business skills by basically saying that if you do not buy from Signtronix, you will never be a good business person.

Even more dumb is the fact that the person making these remarks attempts to play 'customer', when in fact it is a person connnected to Signtronix and if they think people fall for it, maybe they are the ones that need to go back to fifth grade, or should I say they should stop acting like they are IN fifth grade.

Using the BBB as an indicator to worth of any business is like asking the fox how many hens are still in the house and expect a reliable answer. To be accredited with the BBB, a company just needs to pay the yearly dues and merely correspond to the complaints to remain satisfactory, no matter how many complaints.

As to Signtronix, two words which any person should look into even more than Signtronix themselves: Northern Leasing

Regarding the lease, the reason they try to push that is they can inflate the price even more and, because it is a lease, not have to reveal the interest rate. They basically make up any price they wish, depending on how the customer 'feels' to the sales person and how deep the customers pockets seem to be. That is why the tax write-off carrot-on-a-string card is always played. To make it sound like you are getting a free sign or something.

BE smart people. Buy local. If Signtronix was that good, why do they need to drive around door to door acting like angry children and talking down to people that could be their next customer?

Guest

If you look through the complaints for this company, and then read the comments, you will see the exact same response that "Christopher0845" posted. I find that kind of peculiar.

Guest

Signtronix had 55 complaints in the last 3 years with the BBB. Now to an uneducated person that would seem bad.

But if you crunch the numbers and see that they sold a little over 210,000 signs over the last three years you can easily figure out that only 0.00026% of there customers end up pissed off. For you that is pissed off or say you researched the company and decided not to do business with them I will write it in crayon for you, because you either are not going to last in your business that long because of your lack of understanding of fifth grade math, or you are a little retarded. That is 0.026 % of 0.01%. For those of you who are still a little lost that is a great track record.

And for those of you that don't understand the word scam.

You may be better off investing in a dictionary or at least graduate up to the sixth grade. I will be doing business with this company.

Guest

You mean Northern Leasing that has multiple lawsuits for credit card fraud? No thanks. This smart business man will get a better deal from a local legitimate company.

Signtronix is a questionable business. Run!

I have done extensive research on Signtronix, this is a company that hires commissioned sales reps to go about the country, town to town, none of them have a business card because they are told not to carry one or give one out, they barge in to your retail location asking if they can show you a sample sign, which in turn, turns out to be an hour long presentation right in the middle of your day. They push push push you to buy a sign...Lease is their goal...they want you to lease a sign that cost a few thousand but you end up paying like $4000+ for an LED sign. The problem with the lease is you have no idea what the % is on the lease and the gimmicks to hide more money for them in the lease, and cost you more and pays them more. If they say you are getting money back or they can reduce your down payment, the truth sometimes is that the money is built into the lease with you are now paying interest on. Don't believe anything these people say. Stay away from their sales managers and their sales reps.

Thanks to the people who are skeptics and perceive to look onto sites like this, my husband just lost an opportunity to close a sale with a customer. He works hard, diligently but yet a customer decided to look onto a site like this and take the opinion of others (who have persona grudges or their businesses were not able to recover after getting the product, or are just plain ignorant to the fact) my husband isn't able to get the sale and provide for his family.

I don't care if these "expert salesman" have a doctorate from MIT, Harvard or any other high-costing schools and say that "this company is a scam" or whatever their negative thoughts are, there are THOUSANDS of other consumers who have benefited from the product and have seen their sales or their customer quota double even triple because of what my husband was able to offer. Prospective consumers who find that this site with other "pissed off consumers" beneficial to their company are absolutely blinded. One prospective customer walked out of a great opportunity and the next door business had the product and saw an absolute positive outcome and they are still in business. Consumers who walk away from future perceptiveness that my husband and his company is able to provide, are impenitent and stuck up.

For others who saw a negative outcome, it's unfortunate that the company wasn't able to help with your company. Others who do not pay on the monthly payments, who don't think through with the decision and who do not commit to the obligation. Also another thing, when you tell a salesman you want to commit to a sale, don't go to websites like this at the last minute, back out on the deal and waste the salesman the time and energy (and gas if they drove a distance). You gave up on a person who was working so hard and needs to provide for their family (it's not all about you in the world) and you walk away and back out in the *** way that you do, it makes them feel worse about how they could provide for their company.

Put yourself in their shoes, they are working too; they need to see a sale just like any other business associate. Want some advice from someone who's father has been in sales for over 40 years: Show some respect people and be a better business associate. Just because you had a bad experience with one person, don't ruin it for others who actually see a positive outcome for their future business and service and the salesman who struggle to get a result or a deal. They are people too and they are struggling and striving to get something out of you; a perspective client.

Think of it as a customer who comes into your store.

Are you going to turn them away just because they may have an opportunity to make your business better? Think of it that way and maybe your brains will process everything more clearly.

If this site persuaded the customer to NOT deal with Signtronix and Northern Leasing then that's a very good thing! My wife got suckered in to leasing a sign, that's correct a lease.

At the end of the 36 month lease you have option to purchase. Total cost $9,400. For a lighted 4X8 sign! In addition to getting screwed by the price, that's the delivered in a box price.

You are responsible to install!

This same sign installed by your local sign company has an average cost of about $1900.

Speaking from experience I just had 1 built installed and electric run for that price! $1900 bucks not $10,000 !!!!!!!!!

Guest

This is exactly what happened to me. The salesman is nothing but a crook and *** man.

A $21,000.00 sign is now costing me $33,000.00 and the lease company is just as bad. They have just as bad reports from them as well

Guest

I sale on-premise electric and architectural signage for an established sign manufacturing co. in the Pensacola, FL market area and have been selling signs for the better part of 25 years.

I'm just curious to know if Signtronix MGT is aware that contracting in the state of Florida without a valid state contractor's license is a felony offense? Selling a product to someone under a city or county occupational license is one thing.

Languge in a contract specifying installation and/or maintenance thereof is another matter. Might want to get your legal team together on this before indictments are issued...

Guest

I my art increased my art gallery business over 60% my first 3 months after I bought and installed an outdoor lighted sign and a window EMC programmable message center. The signs paid for themselves in less than 45 days.

The Signtronix salesman estimated a 20% increase in sales and a payback in of 1 year. This is best business decision I have ever made since I opened my store.

There's no doubt that signage will increase your business. Issue is overpaying for that sign.

New in business? Shop around and make an intelligent decision.

I own a sign company in Columbus, Indiana. Years ago I thought I could undercut the high cost of my competitors including signtronix.

guess what, I went out of business, had to sell my bucket truck, my mimaki and my gerber. And lay off 2 part-time installers. Still have my 2ft. lynx cutter.

And now I am still in the sign business selling the least expensive emc's and signs in the business. Yeah... legal bob you dumb *** I am one of those signtronix guys. Been there, done that.

I wonder what your markup is, and how you stay in business? Bet you are a Harvard Business School MBA.

Though I don't like Signtronix, would never buy anything from them, do business with their sales people or managers...All the people on here that are complaining about buying a sign and regretting it...here are the facts. * no body "made" you sign the agreement...did they put a gun to your head? You signed the agreement, willingly, and gave the rep a check-not refundable. Don't buy something and then complain. Did you read the contract in full on the back? Shame on you business owner for not doing your part in good business practice. *And no...once you gave them a check for deposit...it is not refundable adn you have no legal recourse...the contract says that. *I'm always amazed at clients who show up wanting their deposit back after they sign a non refundable agreement...I ask, "Did they make you sign it? NO. Then you signed it will full authority and willingness. Yes...Ok...then why are you here waisting my time?

I have one simple, question for you. Why are you on a website called "pissed consumer" if you don't want to listen to complaints?

That is what this web site is intended for. People to connect with other people who have experienced the same problem or vent about their experience. I for one read the ENTIRE contract. It assured me my satisfaction was their main priority and that my sign was under warrenty...

So please explain to me since you seem to be a legal expert, why my sign has not worked properly for the last 5 months? Why is it that when I call to get assistance I am put on hold or sent to an answering machine and my call is never returned?

I would love your expert opinion since you know everything about the people on this website and their issues! #Shame on yourself for coming to a website about complaining and expecting people not to.

Very high-pressure sales tactics

My husband and I ALMOST bought a sign from Signtronix. I am so grateful that we did not. After taking up 4 hours of our time(we rearranged travel arrangements and business appointments to accommodate salesmen) we were on the *** of signing up--for a very expensive sign. When we said we would like to think about it overnight and do some budgeting, we were told that that was not possible. "How could we pass up the chance to have a 'guaranteed' increase in business?" And yet, when I asked them what happens if my business did not increase, I got no answer. Maybe they should have offered to sign a guaranteed performance agreement???!!! In hindsight, I am grateful that we did not sign a contract with Signtronix and I will do what I can to alert other business owners in my area. I will buy my sign from a local business that will in turn shop in my store.

I don't know anything about signtronix but I do know asking for a PERFORMANCE guarantee for any type of advertsing, whether it be tv, radio, print or a sign is impossilbe...I have clients who want performance guarantees on radio broadcasting...what a joke...Can you gurantee mr client you'll have all the business you want today? Impossible. The reason most small businesses are suffering is because most small business owners are *** and can't *** it in the corporate arena

In regards to Tom's comment. From what I read the lady said the sales Rep made a guarrentee that the sign would double her business and she just wanted him to put his money where his mouth is.

This way it would not just be her money on the line and that sounds like a really smart business woman. You said you have clients who want a performance guarantee on Radio advertisments, and you right that is a joke but did you first tell them "I guarrantee it will double your businss" like the Rep that was talking to her?

I was approached today by a representative. He started giving me his demo and when I said I would like to see the bottom line figure on costs he packed his stuff up and abruptly left. I guess it was to my advantage to not fall for his long drawn out high pressure sales tactics.

Signtronix sign was not as advertised

Re: Sign purchased from Signtronix The sign is advertised to withstand hurricane force winds on the Signtronix website. In fact, it did not stand up in a 45 mile per hour wind in Oklahoma. Not once, but twice, the sign has blow out. I paid over $25,000 for the sign and 3 of the six panels have blown out of the frame. First, one panel blew out. I waited over a month to get it replaced. Now, two more panels have blown out. The sign is advertised to withstand hurricane force winds on the Signtronix website. Buyer beware of Signtronix.

Signtronix is a scam! Won't give our deposit back!

We are a garden center located in Jacksonville, FL. We wanted to put up a LED sign in front of our nursery and Gary Hoelein was our sales representitive. We met with him and gave him some plans of what we wanted done and we gave him a check for $1204.00. He said it was just a deposit, but that he wouldn't cash it until our plans were finalized. He sent us back the plans completly different than what we discussed and the price was way different. He also cashed the check two days later. We don't want anything to do with them anymore, we just want our deposit back for the sign we never got or never got right. We've been trying to get it back for three months now. The Corporate Office won't do anything and their local office number has been disconnected.

They are very rude and pushy. I would NEVER do business with them.

This company sells signs that you can get much cheaper other places. I would recommend calling your local sign company and give them the business or look on the internet.

They tried to sell me a $6000.00 sign that I can get locally for $2,000.00. Way overpriced!!!

Guest

They took my money also !!!!!!

I read your comment and I am sad for you and you business.

Signtronix is a scam!!!!!!!!!!

When you Sign the contract. The salesman knows, that you're not going to get, the sign that you agreed on.

It,s a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you try to go after this Co. you'll have to go to calif. Hire an attorney there, and go to Calif.

court It's nothing but a scam. If a salesman shoes up at your door, Call the LAW ..... If he tries to leave get his lic.number off his vehicle. Then call the LAW.

And file a report on this individual.

There's so many people that has been scammed already. I just run into another guy today that they ripped off.

IF SIGNTRONIX IS SO GOOD, WHY DONT THEY REFUND MY MONEY, I NEVER GOT THE PRODUCT, NOR SERVICE..ITS ALMOST TWO YEARS SINCE I HEARD FROM THEM.I AM TAKING THEM TO COURT IN CALIFORNIA.

Hmmmm...I wonder if Christopher0845 is a saleman for this unethical company? It's pretty obvious.

And you should get your facts straight. They keep changing their name because their bad reputation keeps catching up with them. They may have several thousand customers, but they don't get many customers that come back.

Instead, they move into town, fast talk a few people and then leave. In a few years, they come back and do it all over again....despicable

B I have to disagree with you. Signtronix has many returning customers.

If they have such a bad reputation than how do they have a A rating from the Better Business Bureau? I think this site is a scam! Pissed consumer? Does that even sound like a reputable source?

I don't believe so!

I prefer more professional opinions. Thanks anyways.

I am in a family sign business that has been around since the 1950s. This is not technically a scam, but they tell you a bunch of lies to get you to buy from them.

The signs they produce are not structurally sound, and downright ugly. They use the exact same size and shape in my area for all the signs they do and just make small changes to the artwork. I had a loyal customer almost get talked into purchasing from them. He let me bid on a sign that is exactly the same size and we were half the price.

We ended up building them a "real" sign that was twice as large, much more structurally sound (not a wimpy extrusion cabinet with no supports), and the artwork is so much better. My customer has been going around alerting other business owners of their unethical practices.

They also have told several of customers in my area that we will install the signs that Signtronix makes.

We have told Signtronix several times that we will not, but they say whatever to make the sale. Sadly, several businesses in my area have been stuck with signs that no one will install for them because no one wants to be liable for their ustructurally unsound products.

Not sure what you are all speaking of, the guy who came into my store in Buffalo NY was great, he told me what the product was, showed me what is has done for others in the area, he even asked if i wanted to call some of them while he was there, I DID!! and both people siad i will be a idoit if i did not get the sign, them both said it looks great and brings in more new business that any other form of advertising.

then he told me the price and as a smart business owner i BOUGHT IT!!!!!!!!

you gotta wise up and start doing good business, i have not heard one bad thing about these guys!!! maybe you should look in the mirror if your business is not doing well, this sign company is the #1 company in the USA.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! I am dealing with it right now....Nothing they tell you is the truth....Northern leasing is a joke!!! RUDE RUDE RUDE

Guest

I purchased a sign from signtronix 15 years ago. It doubled my business.

I'd just like to take a moment and talk to you about your "signtronix" problem. Alarm #1:He wanted to insert his jump drive into your computer only to get your logo so he could design you a sign. I'm guessing you had your own logo. He wasnt going to get any info lol.

Alarm #2:Anytime you lease something, it will cost more than the actual cash sale price. But, if you were a smart business person, you would've went with the lease because as you know, its a tax write off and you get back 75% of your money back. Ex:7,500 cash price=5,625 in tax money returned. If you did the lease program and paid total of 10,000, then 75% of that is 7,500.

So it's like you didn't pay anything for the sign. It's called smart money,DUH!!! Alarm #3: The reason he wanted to run a credit check is because they are a 51 year sign manufactorer. They are an established organization that go through "Northern Leasing", also an established company.

They require a direct draft from your bank. Thats the reason he needed a voided check. Go to www.signtronix.com instead of googling the company. Websites like this are full of false reports.

If they are a Scam company, then why are they still in business and have over a million signs in the US?

Get your facts straight. You just passed up a great opportunity to double or triple your business.

Ron sibbell lied to me.I sought legal counsel

signtronix lied about the cost of the sign, and later tried to justify the added amount.Northern leasing tried to increase my payment by $18.00 dollars, saying the three pages of lease agreement and requirement they sent to me signed by somebody else, and they said I agreed to it,I signed a one page lease, they told me the three pages were part of that,I told them on page three was a signature, but it wasnt mine, and I dont sign a lease on page one.I have sought legal counsel and have been told I am in the right.

I own several bsunesses in idaho. I bought a sign in 2007, and two more with reader boards in 2010.

I got the signs about 30 days later by truck and have enjoyed them.

Ron was my salesman and so far everythingappears to be working great. :grin

Guest

either your relative used the artwork copied by them from the Signtronix dealer or your relative used the "concept of art over words" and designed herself or hired a "designer" to design a truly original artpiece and layout for the sign she had made. If it was copied, she is guilty of copyright violation without question, if it is original, she is innocent.

Which is it? Is she guilty of stealing their idea or innocent?...just curious.

I did research on Signtronix and found out they had 55 complaints in the last 3 years with the BBB. Now to an uneducated person that would seem bad.

But if you crunch the numbers and see that they sold a little over 210,000 signs over the last three years you can easily figure out that only 0.00026% of there customers end up pissed off. For those of you that are pissed off or say you researched the company and decided not to do business with them I will write it in crayon for you, because you either are not going to last in your business that long because of your lack of understanding of fifth grade math, or you are a little retarded. That is 0.026 % of 0.01%. For those of you who are still a little lost that is a great track record.

And for those of you that don't understand the word scam.

You may be better off investing in a dictionary or at least graduate up to the sixth grade. I will be doing business with this company.

Copyright law is not cut-and-dry like some of you think. If Signtronix would, say draw a picture of a pizza to use on a sign, it would not hold up to copyright law if someone else drew the same picture of that pizza seeing it is an ordinary looking pizza

If you have seen many Signtronix signs, the images on them are so simple and generalized (generic if you will) that there is NO way that someone else, somewhere has not drawn those images already, for whatever reason and without even knowing about Signtronix or their sign "art". Face it, you are not talking about something hanging in the Louvre here

Look closely into copyright law and you will see how complicated it can be and the stipulations that go along with what can be copyrighted and what can not

Nothing but copyright scare tactics with no merit

Guest

Thats actually fair game in copyright law standards. When their drawing department designed the sign using whatever image you told them to design they became the manufactures and original copyrighter behind it.

You cannot copyright an idea or a name, but you can copyright an original work of art. Since they did it for you it became theirs.

Guest

A relative of mine cancelled a contract with Signtronix and Signtronix was Okay with this. They even got $1,000.00 out of my relative.

Now, that my relative has made another sign, they are saying that they have a "copyright" of the picture in the new sign and that they will sue my relative if they don’t remove this sign. My relative feels that, if that were correct, then they have already paid a $1,000.00 for the use of that supposed copyrighted jpeg (picture).

Any comments, etc., will be appreciated. Thank you.
